Wednesday, we drove out to the San Francisco Airport and picked up Mr. Keith.
(Heart melting!!)
We drove to the Wharf and had In-N-Out for lunch (Keith loved it!).
(Swoon!)
After that, we went to The Kintetsu Mall in Japantown. LaLa had at the paper store (I KNEW she'd love it!), we explored the bookstore and then had pretty little crepes and cones!
(That's what we do to bad little crepes. Get in muh BELLY!)
By that time, it was 3:30-ish and everyone was tired (especially Keith, who had gotten up at 2:30am, CA time to make his flight). After dropping Keith and Leigh-Ann off at their hotel, Bubby and I came home, had Chinese food and then relaxed for the rest of the evening.
I took a shower to wind down, got out and decided that I wanted to cut my bangs. WARNING: If you ever find yourself with your hair in one hand and a pair of scissors in the other and the words "I want BOLD bags" crosses your mind, for the love of sweet God, put the scissors down.
Because you might end up with Ringo bangs.
Bad, bad man hair.
Dustin pity laughed at me and I kept bouncing between crying and laughing at myself. I sent a text to my friend Jewels and she told me to come over in the morning and she'd make me feel pretty.
(Taken yesterday before Jewel's fixed me up. I am Mrs. Ringo.)
AND......
I'm cute again!! Squeee!
I was so impressed - she snip, snip, snip snipped and had my bangs looking so nice in about three minutes flat. She showed me how to blow dry them and gave me a little spray and... MAGIC!
Hope you all have an amazing Friday!
La, Keith, Bub and I are headed out to Santa Cruz for some beach fun.
Can't wait to share pictures!
Love,
Little Miss Violet
P.S. - Check back tomorrow for my weekly (that I forgot to do last week) belly post! Lots to share.
(Taken at 8:57am today. Bed hair!)
La-La has popped into the shower and we're just about ready
to head out to San Francisco to pick up her Keith!
(Taken last Spetember during my visit)
I can't wait to see Leigh-Ann jump into his arms when he steps off that plane!
This song will play in my head, for sure:
Hope your day is as amazing as ours will be!!
Love you,
Violet, Bubby and Master Squidster

The end.
The cute (tiny!) puppy was named "Butters"... as in, multiple butter.
Her 13 year old owner went nuts when she found out that Leigh-Ann was from Canada.
"Justin Bieber is from Canada!!"
I love my life.
Tuesday, I drove out to see my lovely friend, Miss Natty. We planned on having a picnic at this park that Natty and Matt (her man and one of Dustin's BFFs) love and we couldn't have picked a better day. Holy cow. That day was the epitome of why I love California. The first day of February and we were able to lay on a blanket in the sun. HELLO! SO many of my blogger friends are snuggling in at home because they're snowed in and surrounded by ice. Katie, of Skunkboy Creatures, tweeted earlier this week that a friend of hers got a traffic ticket.... For driving on the road.... The weather is so bad out there that you can't DRIVE. *wide-eyed, blink, blink* Having lived in California my whole life, I think I may be a bit spoiled in the nice weather department.
Anyway, back to the picnic!
I loaded up my car with my little packed lunch and picked up Miss Natty. We drove up and over this huge hill to get to Lake Chabot Regional Park and parked. Natty pulled my chair out of the back of the car, I hopped in and we loaded all of our stuff (a picnic basket, mini cooler, two blankets and two purses) on my lap and made the trek to the picnic area. You should have seen us.. little Natty pushing my chair full of me and stuff.. We must have looked like a page right out of a children's book!
We ate our lunches, defended our selves from moths and talked the best girl-talk. It was so nice to be around such lovely lady and just be a girl. I cleaned out my purse, we talked about ex boyfriends and crazy friends and our men. It was bliss.
The sunny patch of grass was practically begging (pleading!) us to toss blankets atop it's fuzzy green hair and sprawl out under the mild rays of warmth. Who were we to deny the grass such a luxury?
And then, we lounged like cats.
California, I love you.
