I did a total happy dance this morning.
I've, only with the help of you all, completed number 26 on my list!
Without further adieu, the sweet blog friends that helped me reach my goal!:
Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Number 12 on my list of 26 things I'd like to do while 26, is:
"Read one new book per month."
Well, here's what I've read so far:
I've also read these, too...
(plus half of the last book)
...but since this is my third time reading the series, I figured I wouldn't count them.
I'm also not counting any non-novel type book I've read. There would be a whole lot of baby books on that list, as well as "crafting as a business" type books, sewing for less-than-stellar-seamstress type books and magazines. Don't even get me started on magazines. I think I have 8 or 9 subscriptions with different magazines at the moment. Parents is my newest addition. :D
Back to books, I'm also halfway through Choke by Chuck Palahniuk and The Mermaid Chair by Sue Monk Kidd. I've already seen Choke (the movie version), so I'm in no rush to finish it and The Mermaid Chair is so-so. I much prefer spending my time with a little "wingardium leviosa", even if I HAVE read it already.
Next, after reading the latest Sookie Stackhouse book of course, I'm thinking that I want to read a "serious" book. A grown-up book. Something classic?
Bubby and I have a date this Saturday and we're going to the used book store in Berkeley.
Can't wait to pick something up!
Do you have any recommendations of what I should read? What's YOUR favorite book?
(Oh! Also, I'm 5 people away from checking number 26 off of my list. Care to help? Follow my blog through the Google Friend Connect widget on the left side-bar!)
Thanks, loves!

Number eleven on my "26 While 26" list (read all about it HERE) reads, "Celebrate our 6 year anniversary with something Old, New, Borrowed and Blue."
On October 23rd (HELLO, late!), Bub and I decided to celebrate our anniversary with a nice dinner at Benihana, one of my all-time favorite places. I planned my outfit to meet dear, sweet number eleven's requirements... and I was a goober and didn't even take a picture. You can't blame me, I was a bit distracted!
Here's my old, new, borrowed and blue:
The food was amazing. A-Mazing. There is nothing as good as Benihana's shrimp and their fried rice. Oh, and that ginger sauce! I eat the bits of ginger while waiting for the food to cook! The garlic butter! The mustard-cream sauce!
(Yeah, I'd tap that RIGHT now. Hungry pregnant lady alert!)
It was our first Christmas post-chemo and lung removal (I really need to make a time-line for you all!). We were living with Dustin's parent's so that we could save up enough money to buy our condo (which ended up being a flop, but that's another story) and since we only had a room to ourselves, we decked it out (correction: I decked it out) and made the most of our Holiday together. Dustin's cousin, Ryan, spent Christmas Eve at the house, since his family (that we love SOO much!) was spread out all over the world. Widget loved Ryan. :)
((Oh, and, I decided to finally try out number six on my "26 While 26" list... my drawing tablet! I couldn't help myself with the mustaches...))
I hope next weekend is as amazing as 2007 was!
Maybe with less mustaches, though.
Our parents always ask for a Christmas list from each of us and it's SO MUCH FUN making a list of things that I'd love to receive. I feel eight years old again!
Now, I know that that can be considered a bit selfish, but I assume that the people who ask want to give, and if they love giving as much as I do, it's a fun, love inspired thing for all of us!
Dustin and I are big fans of getting used things (book, CDs, DVDs) and actually encourage it, if any one asks what we'd like. I asked for Go Sailor's self titles album and I hope, hope, hope Santa deems me worthy!
As for new things (besides a Magic Bullet Blender!) I was thinking of asking for an Instax camera and I kind of need your advice! What kind should I ask for -- a mini 7, mini 50s or a 210? Any kind of feedback would be much appreciated.
What did you ask for for Christmas?
(Oh, hey, side note: Wanna help me acheive number twenty-six on my 26 While 26 goal list? On the left-hand side, there's a little purple and yellow box where you can follow me. Do it! Do it! When I reach 100 followers, I'm going to do a big give-away!)
While in Canada, I unexpectedly got to complete one of my 26 goals.
Number 2, "Buy a kite and figure out how to fly it," just waltzed right into my lap while on a walk with Leigh-Ann, her Momma, her Grandma and Kody's girlfriend, Miss Halie. I wanted to see the waters of Lake Winnipeg, so we leashed up the pups (Tom and Momma's pup, Ruby) and went on an adventure!
Leigh-Ann's Mom was super awesome and pushed me over bumps and lumps and across the grassy terrain. She's pretty much a SuperMom.
Grandma was the only person without someone/thing to push/walk (Leigh-Ann + Tom, Halie + Ruby and Momma + Me), so she did a bit of exploring along the way. Hidden in the trees, she found, you guessed it, a kite. It was a sad, abandoned little kite with a short string and no handle, but it had heart. Grandma tied the end of the string to her camera as a makeshift handle (brave!) and handed it to me, thus completeing #2, "Fly a Kite."
