Hello :) I'm Amanda (aka eastpath just about everywhere). I'm a 30-something mama to one lovely daughter who is both a blessing and a miracle. I love blogging, tumblr and twitter a little too much and I enjoy the community I've discovered in other blogging parents. I'm trying to learn to cook and I'm setting a goal to learn to sew. I aim to be one crafty mama! My life is simple. I live for my girl, a good book and my family. These are the lessons in life I'm learning.
Find me here:
801. Being able to fly to Florida to see my mother, with my daughter.
802. The little things my mister does to take care of me, like get me flowers when I was pregnant and letting me wear the jewelry he has yet to sell.
803. The lessons that are being taught to me in my life.
804. The cooing noises my daughter made at 7 weeks old.
805. Unexpected surprises, like the free manicure card I forgot I had.
806. The little things my mister does to take care of me, like get me flowers when I was pregnant and letting me wear the jewelry he has yet to sell.
807. My tattoos, for the memories they capture, and the lessons they represent.
808. Great friends who listen and do not judge.
809. The first crisp, clean page of a new journal. Oh the possibilities!
810. Old photographs of family you find in a shoebox in your grandmothers closet.
811. Baking or cooking something for the first time. Even if it bombs because then you know how to make it better the next time.
812. The lessons that are being taught to me in my life.
813. Having a meaningful collection. Whatever you choose to collect. I collect pieces of the Earth. So very pretty.
814. Technology which allows me to connect and capture moments in my life.
815. Melissa from Dear Baby. Her openness, honesty and down to earth nature truly makes me smile.
816. "So Pink" perfume from Gap for smelling so delightfully grapefruit-y.
817. Campbell's Tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich. Comfort food and good on a rainy day.
818. Caffeine in several forms, but mostly in hot tea. Bonus points if it is with a book, slippers, and a blanket in a cozy nook. Double bonus points for a fireplace and a snowy day.
819. Gifts that are given with heartfelt meaning and no expectations.
820. Making it to New Orleans and the profound effect it had on me.
821. The garden the mister intends to put together this spring. Fresh veggies yay!
822. Babies exploring in the grass.
823. The cats that have graced my life with theirs over the years.
824. The vast open prairie skies. It's sunsets and thunderstorms.
825. A really good book that you love to read over and over.
Thanks, Amanda!
I've had Amanda here on the blog before and it makes me so very happy to have her back! We connected over pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding trouble and having a little one, and it's been so very nice. :)
If I have to pick one of her thankful things, I'd have to go with number 810, "Old photographs of family you find in a shoebox in your grandmothers closet." Recently, my Uncle scanned a bunch of picture form my mother's childhood and I am so very thankful to have copies of them now. The clothes! The hair! The home decor! Do you have any favorite old photographs?
I've got a lot more where that came from, too. Just you wait!
Have a happy Sunday, friends!
xo,
Violet
