Hi! I’m Kristin W!
I’m a 25-year-old Photographer and newspaper Editor-in-Chief living in a cozy Western Massachusetts apartment with my long-term boyfriend, Sean, dreaming of the day we can own a Sphinx cat and English Bull Terrier. When I’m not sleuthing on assignment or writing articles, you can find me racking up miles on my bike, behind the lens of my camera or car dancing to pop punk music. Thrift and antique stores can hold my attention for hours (I even used to work in one!) and I’m constantly on the hunt for particular Pyrex pieces, early cameras and wooden letterpress blocks. I’ve started a blog to share the copious amounts of photos I daily take, recipes I’ve loved and anecdotal life stories. I think it’s important to stay positive, think red is the best color ever and Castle might just be the best T.V. show. Stop by and say hi! :]

_________
526. Animal tongues. Don’t they just make you laugh?!
527. The corners of brownies. Crunchy yet chewy at the same time.
528. Dog paws. They smell like Fritos!
529. My brave and never endingly-positive mama. A 23-year breast cancer survivor still kicking cancer’s ass. Bald is beautiful.
530. Clothes straight from the dryer. Mmm, so warm! So soft!
531. Growing vegetables in a garden! Watching the growth of our snow peas has been so much fun! I can’t wait to eat our basil!
532. Opening the lid on the Vanilla Bean pod canister and taking a quick sniff.
533. Breathing deeply while flying down a hill on my bike, really taking in the sights, sounds and smells.
534. A new pack of bobby pins. I always seem to lose mine but if needed, I bet I could fund one in a corner somewhere!
535. Forever matching with what Sean’s wearing on complete accident. We’ve got this uncanny skill of doing this!
536. Dogs eating crunchy things. Too funny!
537. Family Fun Day Sunday. My family gets together each sunday for dinner and a game. Lately we’ve been playing Pictionary on my Mum’s massive whiteboard. SO fun!
538. Sean’s eyelashes. They’re SO long and curly! I have total eyelash envy.
539. Mishka, the talking Husky. Specifically when she sings with auto tune!
(I highly recommend “Mishka says 12 words” and “Mishka are you stupid?”)
540. Avocado. On anything.
541. Watching squirrels tug so hard on a buried acorn. And when they pat the ground after burying one.
542. Trader Joe’s Fruit Jellies. All natural! Om nom nom!
543. Sean’s hands in my back pocket.
544. Knowing you just got the best shot during a photo shoot!
545. The tops of muffins. It’s the best part!
546. The baby powder trick. You know, for when you’re not feeling like hopping in the shower but your hair is looking like it’s seen better days? Sprinkle some baby powder on your roots and voila! Good to go.
547. Soup spoons! Especially when they’re used for things other than soup!
548. Extra large, round mugs to drink vanilla chai out of!
549. That feeling of accomplishment after the last dish is washed.
550. Blowing out candles to smell the “birthday candle” smell!
Ahhh! I love it! Number 547., "eating with soup spoons," is something that I just adore! We have some chinese soup spoons (the big ones) that we got from IKEA and I LOVE using them. They're colored and I refuse to use the red one because I feel like it symbolizes blood or bad things. Is that normal? It's kind of superstitious, I guess.. I also don't use the straws with the red stripes unless I'm drinking something red (juice, wine) and I refused to use the blue striped straws while I was pregnant for fear that it would result in the baby suffocating in the womb (turning blue). Ummm.. yeah, I think I've officially outed myself as a weirdo.
Thanks for sharing, Kristen and I'm gunna go hide now. ;)
xo,
Violet

Also, Violet, I love that you're color-oriented, too! And no, you're definitely not a weirdo! Come out of hiding and eating things using soup spoons with me! :D
