My name is Kami and I'm a tattooed and crafty mommy blogger. In my spare time (what little I have with a newborn!) I can be seen running around my house in dress up clothes, sometimes glue gunning my fingers together, and often bouncing around like an idiot trying to entertain my daughter Claire. I live to create, love to thrift, and hope to start my own home based business one day....stop by the blog and follow along on my adventures in parenthood, mothering, crafting, and gardening!
326. How a vintage tea cup and a slice of pie can pretty up the greyest of days
327. The feeling of satisfaction and pride I get from seeing my daughter fast asleep at the breast, milk streaming down her cheeks. Hooray for boobies and babies!
328. Homemade Strawberry Cheesecake made with BAKED strawberries, it EXPLODES with flavor!
329. Stretchy yoga pants that fit over my post birth humongo hips and painful c-section incision. Thank God for Lululemon, fat girl pants with style.
330. Having a husband that works from home and is able to help me take care of our newborn daughter. I don't know what I would do otherwise, I have SO much respect for single parent moms now.
331. Sleep. I get so little now, I will take any lil cat nap I can get. I am so grateful for sleep. SLEEEEEEEEEEP. Dear God now I understand why sleep deprivation is used as a form of torture. I LOVE SLEEP.
332. This video of an awesome kid dancing in an Apple store like it ain't no thang! Wish we all had that level of confidence, don't you?
333. Perogee dinners with a massive salad: get my craving and my veggies to!
334. Looking at Claire's profile and comparing it to her 32 week ultrasound picture and realizing that she has the same pose now that she did in utero (hands always up around her face).
335. Seeing the look of joy and wonder on my grandfather's face as he held Claire for the very first time...making someone a Great-Grandfather for the first time is a pretty amazing feeling!
336. Homemade Tex Mex tortilla soup full of beans, corn and turkey. My hubby is the best!
337. The first non rainy day in over one week! It had been so long I forgot what sunshine even looked like.
338. The nurses in the Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit that took care of my Claire for the first 4 days of her life, until she was strong enough to be with me.
339. Feeding cat nip to my kitties and watching them get silly and roll all over the floor.
340. Grannie blankies all over my house! I love them, and when combined with a baby my home feels so cozy and full of love!
341. Trashy TV shows! I am hooked on all of the "Real Housewife" series....yup! TRASH! But it is 1:20am as I type this, my brain is mush, I've been breastfeeding and diaper changing all day long and some trashy tv to zone out to is awesome!
342. Fresh squeezed orange juice the color of sunshine in a BIG glass just waiting for me to chug it.
343. Signs of warmer weather that are emerging in my garden: flower buds, seedling sprouts, and chirping birds.
344. Netflix. For serious why does everyone not use this?! $8 a month for an insane amount of TV and movies, I am in love and my ass is getting flat from so much couch time.
345. The snorts, grunts, and squeaks that Claire makes while she is sleeping. Sometimes she sounds like someone is strangling a pig....but most of the time she just sounds cute.
346. Watching The Vancouver Canucks win game 2 of the Stanley Cup Playoff's! GO CANUCKS GO! YAY CANADA!
347. Being on Maternity leave and not having to go to work...or anywhere for that matter that I don't want to be!
348. I am also very grateful to live in Canada and be able to get a full year of paid maternity leave!
349. Ice cold crisp and dry white wine! Oh how I have missed you wine. I may only be able to have one glass, but I sip it slow and savor every moment and flavor note. After nine months a tiny glass of wine is more then enough, and for me now it is all about the tart crisp flavor.
350. Blogger friends such as Stephanie here that I have made in the past year...my life feels richer and fuller and Id love to meet my all blogger friends one day!
Oh, another Mommy friend of mine! Clair and Squid are only a few weeks apart in age it was so much fun being pregnant at the same time as Miss Kamika. I too am thankful for Momma blogger friends!
Also, totally jealous of numner 336... Someone teach Bubby to make soup! Although, he DID take the baby so I could sleep in AND made me breakfast in bed. Not complaining one bit. ;)
Aww, I love this list! I smiled at the Canucks one because we're a Bruins household here :) Also I think it's pretty awesome that Canada gives a full year of maternity leave. The US is really behind everyone in that respect.
