Hi and welcome to my list. I’m really excited to be able to share in this wonderful project of Violet’s. My name is Jess and I’m expecting my first baby (affectionately known as Pecan) in November. I’m a West Aussie girl (born & bred) married to a Danish boy and we both live in the beautiful, but most isolated city in the world, Perth. I blog over at Mrs Sometimes Housewife, sharing stories about my life, family and the in-laws along with other fun ramblings and of course baby features.
Find me here:
Blog: Mrs. Sometimes Housewife
_________
401: Watching crazy first dance wedding videos on you-tube.
402: Letting our little fluff-ball of terror (AKA Loki) into our bedroom to wake up my sleepy Husband.
403: Stuffing myself full of my Mum’s Icky Sticky Toffee Pudding on Christmas, even though it’s too hot in Oz to be eating a winter dessert.
404: My Husband sitting through the Little Mermaid on Broadway, with my engagement ring burning a hole in his pocket.
405: That, even after all this time, I can still find people to have random Buffy conversations with.
406: Chasing down coconuts whenever I’m in Bali or Thailand and always ordering 2+ which makes the waiter/waitress laugh at me.
407: French accents (enough said!)
408: My Uncle’s poems, he writes a specialised one for every major family event.
409: Being told I have a nice singing voice as I pound out heavy metal rock songs during Guitar Hero.
410: Next year I’ll get to start celebrating Mother’s Day and won’t resent it being so close to my birthday.
411: Rainbows in the morning making you grateful that you got out of bed and went to work.
412: Having my 91 year-old Nana as a pen-pal.
413: The look my Husband gets on his face when I suggest a baby name he doesn’t like.
414: Picnics at the outdoor cinemas with friends.
415: How my stomach flips when I’m up at great heights.
416: Getting away with not always having to shave my legs and the Mister never complaining.
417: Having grown up with dogs – currently in the immediate family there are 8 dogs in total!
418: When a party you’ve planned goes perfectly.
419: Deciding on having a delivery surprise even though I’m the biggest planner in the world and would love to find out.
420: The feel of my hair after it’s been washed, cut and dyed at the hairdresser.
421: When I get lost in a movie and just focus on the sounds eg: shoes clip-clopping & lips smacking when actors are talking.
422: Funny things little kids say: I asked my semi- nephew where my Husband was (he’d been gone for awhile) and his response with this cheeky look was ‘he’s dead’, two seconds later he walked in the room...priceless.
423: Eating fresh raspberries whilst walking around fruit markets in Venice.
424: Dogs barking during our wedding vows.
425: Yummy dinners cooked at friends’ houses.
Number 420 is the best! Nothing like freshly cut and pampered hair. In fact, this pile o'straw that I'm sporting might just need a trip to the salon...
I hope you all had a nice weekend and I'll be back on Wednesday, so expect a nice, juicy Mickey filled post! A giveaway is coming soon, too. Sweet!
Lots of love,
Violet and the Squid
p.s. - Don't forget to give us a vote!
404: My Husband sitting through the Little Mermaid on Broadway, with my engagement ring burning a hole in his pocket.

My golly, you're expecting? Congratulations! You'd be a wonderful mother, that's for sure. There are millions of things to be thankful about, dear, and delivering a life into this world is one of them.
