Just a note:
This is the very first post in a new year of Things To Be Thankful For. Each week for the next year, my weekly 1,300 post will be done by a guest blogger or someone who is personally close to me!
I'm very excited and super honored that so many bloggers have volunteered to take part in this wonderful series and I really hope you all enjoy it.
(Without further adieu, our very first post is by none other than the love of my whole life, my Husband, Dustin.)
--------
My name is Dustin. I work most of the time, and read, draw, and write the rest. I'm afraid of the oven and fire in general, I love finding new bands in the bargain bin of our local used music store and I can eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich everyday for lunch without getting sick of it. I love my Family, my dogs and where I am currently in my life. Violet, my wife, elected me to go first in her series of thankful guests, so here you have it.
- Sweet Apps for your phone.
- Appkillers to preserve the precious battery of your phone.
- The awesomeness that is Neosporin.
- Walking in to a restaurant without a reservation and being seated in ten minutes.
- Ladder Golf.
- Making Ladder Golf interesting by turning it into a drinking game.
- Taking naps mid-day and waking refreshed.
- Handmade furniture. Especially modern credenzas.
- Getting a bonus check.
- Riding in cars that absorb the bumps and create a crazy-smooth ride.
- Books that become favorites and are read again and again.
- The Hubble telescope.
- Wireless keyboards and wireless mouse...es. Multiple mouse.
- Board game nights with friends on a weekday. Booya!
- Having a wife who happens to be your best friend.
- Having over 300 CDs on a single digital device.
- The shadows cast from trees swaying.
- Pets that obey as well as they love.
- Finding an ideal gift for a friend without an occasion.
- The co-worker that helps out without you even asking, and you really needed it.
- Leather-bound books.
- The timeless look of Converse.
- Carpool lanes and two-seater vehicles, coupled with FastTrak to make a forty minute commute fifteen.
- The Last Wish, by Andrzej Sapkowski
- Video montages of weeks or months worth of time lapsing in seconds.
What a cool idea this is. Makes me want to do my own, but for now I will enjoy what the guest bloggers write each week :) <33
I smiled about the Converse things - my husband and I love Converse, so much so that we wore them on our wedding day :)

I LOVEEEE that you had Dustin do this. Such a sweet idea. You two have such a sweet love, it is so evident in both of your writings. Congratulations on being able to create something beautiful from that. I am so incredibly happy for you two.

@FreckledNest: The Vanager was number 26. :)
The most difficult thing about a list of 25, for me, was not so much the list but the introduction paragraph. Whenever we'd have to say five interesting things about ourselves in a classroom, say, I'd never know what to say. Even in person, I tend to introduce myself and then jump right into conversation.

Hahaha - you "ladder golf" game, my family calls it "twisted testicles." Try saying that three times fast when you make the game more interesting by adding alcohol :)
