Week 29:
- Sleep again! I've added yet another little pillow to my entourage and now I'm sleeping much better. With all the pulling and stretching of my insides, finding a way to keep all my parts happy has been a task!
- Scar burn. With the growth of the Squid and the stretching of my skin and muscles, my scar has been bugging me a bit this week. My tummy muscles that were cut during my Whipple Procedure have to work a little harder to hold the new weight. I've been curling up with a heating pad and that seems to help a bit!
- Hey there, Boobies! My girls have been packing a little more punch this week. Dustin has no problems with this whatsoever. ;)
- Snacks! I've given myself a new nickname. *snarfle, snarfle, CHOMP*
- Mount Tummy. My tummy is notably bigger than last week. Dustin keeps pointing out how I'm growing not only out, but I'm growing much wider, too. It makes sense... Squid is positioned sideways with his hea din my right hipbone and his bottom to my left!
- Old lady. I'm ready to hop into bed around 9:30, read for an hour and then sleep. WHO AM I?! Gone are the days of 3:30 am bedtimes! I should probably get a cat and start knitting socks.
- Sugar. I can handle less and less sugar lately. Really puts a cramp in my (terrible!) craving for sour gummy candy. I feel much better when I limit myself, though and I'm sure it's the same for Squid. It's kind of neat being responsible for how another being feels. I try my best to do my best!

This one kind of reminds me of a dolphin doing a trick...
(Don't you agree?)
I still love you even if you think I look like a dolphin. Promise.
Love and little kisses,
Violet

Dear Violet ,
You know what really helped me was slathering, I mean slathering my tummy with cocoa butter..Ok so I have had three kids but before i had my first I had shingles and it left a big scar so as I was going into my last months my scar was not happy so I read some were to slather cocoa butter on it .. I mean so much that I took my shirt of so it would be a big layer and after a week it got so moisturized it just changed the texture of the scar and the discomfort went away... Ok they sell it at any local pharmacy and I out it on my butt too since it also grew..it helped and I gained 70 pounds with each one and I have no strech marks... Love Gloria

I go to bed at 10pm, have a cat, & knit socks and sweaters...and if you decide to join me in old-ladyhood I would be oh-so-honored ;)
