A few days ago I woke up, rubbed my belly, called Daddy and put it on speaker phone. Mommy makes an effort to use her cell phone's speaker when ever possible, since the whole questionable radiation-forming-tumors-in-my-brain thing would probably hamper our adventures, my lovely Squid.
Anyways, brian tumors aside, when you heard Daddy's voice, you started to squirm around! I ripped the covers off, grabbed my camera (I had put it on my nightstand the night before with the hopes that you'd squirm in the morning!) and tried to catch a thump of yours with the 46 seconds that my puny little memory card held. After a few record-and-deletes that yielded nothing, I discovered that if I held the blankies over my belly and you got all warm, you'd kick me again! When I took the blankets off and the chilly air hit my belly and, in turn, you, you'd sink back into my warm, warm womb and cease all kicking! (Don't worry, Squiddy - I do the same thing, too.)
So, the smart Momma that I am, I would cover my belly with the blanket, rub, rub, rub and warm you up and then... rip the blanket off and press record!
Guess what, Squiddy?
Momma is already out-smarting you.
Bwahahaha!
I love you more than:
good cell phone reception,
grilled cheese sandwiches
AND
a good back scratch.
(that's a lot)
Love you,
Your silly Momma

I never ever get tired of watching my bug twist and turn in my belly!

I must try that too!
P.S Let me tell you its easy to outsmart the boys. They are simple creatures...it's the girls you have to watch out for. A total different race from very early on! You would not believe how manipulative a 3 year old could be.
Me - i love how simple and uncomplicated my boy is!
