This is part of our front deck. The blue building is our little apartment and the ugly (UGLY) bamboo "fencing" just wouldn't do. I used to look at it and cringe - hardcore, eye squishing cringe. And, not only was it ugly, we assumed that Widget could bolt through the thin little bamboo like Kitty from X-Men. We bought a Porch Potty hoping that the boys would learn to use it instead of having to hold them selves all day until Dustin gets home. The boys need to be trained not to pull when they're on their leashs so that I can take them out (using my crutches) and not taste the pavement.
[side note: the purple doors lead to my new studio! Its detached and has a bathroom and this amazing skylight and I can't WAIT to get it up and running!]
So, Dustin and I packed up and headed to the Home Depot to pick out the materials and came home. It was dark by that time, so Dustin unloaded the car and we snuggled in for the night. I LOVE snuggling in for the night.
The next morning, Dustin was up bright and early. I heard him sawing fence planks and measuring important things and nailing boards. You know, general fence-building man stuff.
After he was done, we packed up and drove out to pick up the boys!
We talked with my lovely In-laws for a bit, went to Target and then brought our little men home! They sat on my lap the whole way home and cuddled. <3
That was Sunday... and they still refuse to use the Porch Potty. I take them out and they sit on it and stare at me like, "Mom, PLEASE. I only pee on things that cost $300 when I'm not supposed to."
Ummmm. Yeah.
:D
It's always nice to marry someone handy and he looks quite stylish while doing his work there.
I hope the boys start to use their new potty soon :)

I heard that you need to put a piece of sod down for the first few months in the porch potty. and they will be more likely to use it because it's real grass. Idk if you already have the real grass though. and then after they get used to using it, sneak the fake grass on there. :) idk. that is what i read anyway. hehe. also your pictures are so freakin' cute.
