Gah!
Hello, friends!
We got our internet and cable installed on Thursday (a week early! A-men!) and I've been trying and trying to sit down a get a post pumped out, but the half-empty boxes keep giving me the evil eye. And then there's the baby who refuses to nap longer than 45 minutes here and won't give mommy a break thing. And my nails broke, so I splurged and got them redone (Mom and Dad watched Boop!). And the two hour dentist appointment thing. And the whole having dinner ready and cleaned up thing. And laundry thing. And the I'm so dang tired I could write fifty songs about sleep if I had enough energy thing (nope, not pregnant, just tired).
And when I do get a spare minute thanks to my parents and In-Laws, I find myself laying on the floor trying to center myself and make mental lists of everything that I need and want to get done. Or making spelt-oat chocolate chip cookies and eating the dough. Keepin' it real, folks.
1. Roman is OBSESSED with My Dad's organic home-grown wine grapes. 2. Trixie, Mom's dog, in a rare stationary moment. I swear she's on crack. 3. Steel Town Cafe. I had the best iced tea - Orange Dulce flavor. 4. Roman loves his Power Ranger toy cell phone. It was a garage sale score. 5. We've been having fun with "head, shoulders, knees and toes" song ("eyes and ears, and mouth and nose...). 6. Fried alligator with lime from the Seafood Festival. 7. A bunch of Dad's grapes. 8. Effie holding a huge bunch of organic basil from Dad's garden. 8. Dad ate two servings of these garlic sauteed mussels at the Seafood Festival. Licked the bowl and everything. His eyes lit up like it was Christmas! 9. Roman and his Auntie. I love them both! 10. Speaking of love... This man is the love of my whole life. 11. & 12. Although these pictures look intensely red on my screen, we had such a fin time! Effie's birthday was last weekend, so Mom and Dad rounded all of us up and we celebrated at B.J.'s. 13. Country roads late at night. I love my new (old) town.
Life is good and we are having SO much fun!
