Hi there! My name is Sarah and I write blog called, A Better and Magnificent Mom. I created this blog to chronicle the trials and tribulations of being a first time mommy to my beautiful little girl, Maggie. I use my blog to share Maggie info with out-of-state family and also as a baby book for when she is older. I have been writing my blog for about 9 months now and it's really become something that I greatly enjoy.
I am so happy that I get to be a part of The Quiet Life of Violet's “1,300 things to be Thankful for”. I think that it is a wonderful idea and it definitely makes you stop and think about all the things that we have to be thankful for in our lives!
777. Our extended family. They have helped us out so much over the past year and I am honestly not sure what we would do without them.
778. The beach. It is truly my soul's resting place. You can keep your snow capped mountains and fields of grain, just give me some sand and the ocean and you will hear my heart sing.
779. Peanut butter ripple ice cream; any brand, any time.
780. Iphone's general awesomeness and tons of fun apps.
781. Books, books, and more books. A love of reading is the #1 hobby that I want to pass onto my children, because I think that it has opened up a world of possibilities for me.
782. Giggle/tickle fits that cause a little girl to smile from ear to ear.
783. Ikea and it's wonderful inexpensive home furnishings, which made it possible for us to re-furnish our living room and finally get rid of all the hand me downs.
784. My camera. Although I frequently curse it, it has allowed me to capture so many precious memories over the past year of my little girl.
785. Reading blogs that inspire me and make me want to be a better mom, photographer, crafter and overall person.
788. All the magical moments this year, that I have had the pleasure of spending with my special little girl.
789. Spray detangler; because otherwise I would walk around with rat's nest in my hair all day.
790. Having the luxury of two family vacation homes that we can visit. It would be a VERY long summer without them.
791. Being able to create music playlists at playlist.com that really capture how I am feeling at any given moment.
792. Having so much fun planning my daughter's first birthday for the past 6 months (ok maybe 9 months).
793. My amazing MIL who is going to make this beauty for my little beauty... In candy pink, of course!
794. Still on the birthday theme, the fact that my daughter is so adored that she is having three separate birthday parties, one for each family.
795. The fact that creating this list really makes me stop and think about how blessed I am.
796. Waking up to the alarm clock that is my little sweetie laughing and giggling in her crib. I never want to wake up to anything different!
797. Comfortable clothing that makes me relax the minute I put it on. Mostly sweats and hoodies, my evening uniform.
798. The last Harry Potter Movie this summer. I am thankful because I am sure that it is going to be awesome, but also sad because it is all over.
800. And last, but definitely not least, our friends who are always there for us and help make this life that much sweeter.
Oh, sweet Sarah! We share in our love of the beach and water. It's one of my "happy places" and usually helps me center myself. I can't wait to take Roman -- his first his first trip to the sand when it warms up!
